In the state of Missouri, the state governing body for the sport of Futsal is the Missouri Futsal Association. The association has aspirations of integrating strong Futsal leagues with existing soccer programs throughout the state at the youth and amateur levels. Missouri Futsal is the only state organization in the state, affiliated to U.S. Futsal, which in turn is the only Futsal organization directly affiliated to U.S. Soccer and U.S. Youth Soccer. Its mission in developing the game of Futsal is to work with any affiliated member of U.S. Soccer to further develop the skills of the state’s youth and adult players. Missouri Futsal began promoting the sport in the spring of 2000 with demonstrations and small tournaments.
Missouri Futsal is established to help our youth develop not only into great soccer players but also into productive members of society. Futsal provides a lot of entertainment for all who participate. Since everyone on a Futsal team must work together as one entity the most important concept to promote is teamwork. Together we can produce the best soccer players in the country.
All players registered with the U.S. Futsal Federation through the Missouri Futsal Association will receive medical insurance coverage while participating in any sanctioned Futsal leagues and tournaments. Annual Futsal dues are just $9.00 for youth players, $20.00 for adult players and $20.00 for coaches. The association will also provide facilities insurance coverage for all Futsal leagues.
If your organization wants to further the skills of your soccer players, then Futsal is the game for you. Missouri Futsal is looking for people to develop local leagues at the youth and amateur levels. The association will be happy to work with you on establishing the game in your area.
